The UI team won first place in the Indonesian Flying Robot Contest in Yogyakarta, September 17-20, 2015, at Gading Gunung Kidul Air Force Base. The team consisted of Ricky Nauvaldy R instrumentation Physics FMIPA UI) acts as Programmer, M. Taris Handyatama (FT UI Electrical Engineering) acts as an electrical and mechanical system, and Aldwin Akbar (Teknik Komputer FT UI) ) bertindak sebagai Programmer ini bernama GARUDA dari Kategori Divisi Vertical Take off and Landing (VTOL) kelas Non-Water-based Fire Extinguisher (NWFE). The team, led by Ricky Nauvaldy R, was accompanied by Surya Darma, S.Si., M.Si., Dr. Prawito and Yoshua Tresno S.
Tipe robot yang dibangun adalah quadrotoa flying robot model with 4 rotors and meeting the minimum specifications of the available system. The robot was designed and assembled by hand without using a kit and is capable of flying in manual mode using remote control atau secara autonomous berdasarkan panduan dari hasil image processing atau menggunakan titik-titik koordinat yang dijadikan waypointThe mission of the competition is to fly autonomously to extinguish fires in the contest area using gusts of wind as the extinguishing medium.
The Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) is held by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) as a design and engineering competition in the field of robotics and a means for students to implement their ideas and concepts into functional robots by utilizing their multidisciplinary knowledge. In the robot contest, participants are challenged to design, build, and fly an aircraft.
