Through a paper themed “Aquomal (Geothermal Aquaculture): Utilization of Low Enthalpy Geothermal Heat to Increase Fishery Cultivation Productivity”, the team led by Muhammad Alzaid Ponka managed to beat 340 other student teams from all over Indonesia.
Of the many fields (Sub Themes) offered by NEON this year, the three of them chose the field of Science and Technology to develop in their written work.
Other fields are Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Tourism, Agriculture and Food, Industrial Society Economy, Social & Culture, Renewable Energy and Nano Technology.
All of these areas are focused on the big theme of NEON this year, namely "Optimizing innovation and the role of Millennials in facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Towards Golden Indonesia 2045."
Muhammad Alzaid Ponka as the team leader revealed that he and his team had gone through several stages starting from collecting abstracts, followed by the selection stage, until the abstract was declared to have passed. When declared to have passed, he and his team immediately compiled their scientific paper.
The student who is familiarly called Alza also explained that the main topic in his and his team's written work was about geothermal, Alza said this was because it was in accordance with the research they had conducted.
According to Alza, there are still many geothermal benefits that should be developed for use by the community.
For him, his achievement with the team was a very extraordinary thing. This National Scientific Paper Competition, for them, had a very positive impact. Through this activity they got networking, dan ide-ide baru dari lintas ilmu di berbagai spek, baik sosial, budaya, teknologi.
“besides networking, new ideas and various multi-disciplinary sciences about all aspects of socio-culture, technology and others emerged. from this event we also gained more knowledge about how to present our work well and attractively," said Alza.
Alza and his team hope that their fellow students at FMIPA UI will continue to strive to foster interest in the field of writing, especially writing scientific papers according to their respective fields of interest.
For him, there is nothing wrong with trying new things by continuing to look for opportunities to channel talents, including writing talents.
"Actually, there are many competitions that can increase insight and experience. As well as an opportunity to channel our talents, all depends on the willingness to learn and seek information," he said.
