A series of events for the Introduction to the Faculty Academic System (PSAF) for new students (maba) of FMIPA UI class of 2019 was held on 20-22 August 2019 at FMIPA UI.
The welcoming, briefing and coaching event for the new students aims to introduce the faculty's academic system and an overview of lectures to new students of FMIPA UI 2019.
PSAF MIPA UI 2019 was attended by 1167 undergraduate freshmen from all departments. The head of PSAF 2019, Andhia Nabila Adib or Dila (Geography 2017) explained the importance of faculty-level briefing for new FMIPA UI students.
"FMIPA UI consists of 9 departments and 6 departments, but we are under the same faculty roof, namely FMIPA. Instilling love for the faculty is very important in appreciating the existing fields of science," he said.
This year, PSAF carries three values, namely love, progressive, and contributive. Love is a fundamental element in life. Starting from love, a sense of ownership, loyalty, and a sense of being better and having a positive impact on those around will grow. This is related to the two values after that, namely progressive and contributive.
The process of becoming a student requires improvement and development with a role that is not only active, but should also be able to contribute to the surrounding environment.
These three values go hand in hand with tagline “Hunt Down Your Passion", which means that PSAF 2019 is expected to be a mentor for the new FMIPA 2019 family to find their passion so that they can work, achieve, and provide good changes for FMIPA, UI, and Indonesia.
In its seriousness in instilling a love for FMIPA in new students in 2019, PSAF 2019 held talkshow with KitaBisa.com on social and environmental issues, as well as making biopores in the FMIPA UI environment. Furthermore, Dila delivered a message for new FMIPA UI students of 2019.
