Outstanding Student (Mapres) FMIPA UI 2017

From a series of Outstanding Student Selection (Mapres) activities for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI 2017, finally... Yudisthira Oktaviandie as the Top Achieving Student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI 2017. The announcement was made at the peak of the 2017 Mapres Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI event at the Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UI, Friday (31/3/2017). The biology department student excelled with his research entitled "Photobioreactor Offshore For Production Biofuel Based on Genetically Engineered Microalgae as a Sustainable Energy Solution in Indonesia”. With his victory, Yudisthira represented the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia in the Main Student Selection at the University Level.

Dr. Rokhmatulloh, M.Eng. as the Vice Dean for Field II appreciated the students who successfully represented their departments in this selection. "Hopefully the chosen champions are the best to represent FMIPA UI, and can motivate students to continue to improve their proud achievements not only at the faculty level, but also at the national and even international levels," he said.

Meanwhile, second place in the 2017 FMIPA UI Outstanding Student Selection was won by Ari Wibisana dari Departemen Matematika, and third place was won by Muhamad Iqbal Januadi Putra from the Department of Geography. According to the Chairperson of the 2017 FMIPA UI Outstanding Student Selection Committee, Dr. Tito Latif Indra, The assessments carried out on the finalists include assessment of GPA, Written Work and Written Work Presentation, Outstanding Achievements/Abilities, and Summary & Presentation in English.

The 2017 FMIPA UI Outstanding Student Selection was attended by eight finalists who were undergraduate students (S1) from all departments at FMIPA UI. The eight finalists of the 2017 FMIPA UI Outstanding Student Selection were Ari Wibisana and Shinta Rahmayani (Department of Mathematics), Fathiya Rahmani (Department of Physics), Meilani Annisa and Vincent Jonathan Fleming (Department of Chemistry), Yudisthira Oktaviandie and Dhita Mutiara Nabella (Department of Biology), and M. Iqbal Januadi Putra (Department of Geography).
