Geography FMIPA UI Best Field of Study in the World According to QS World University Ranking

The Quacquarelli Symonds World University Ranking (QS WUR) by Subject 2020 announced that 12 fields of study at the University of Indonesia (UI) from 4 broad subject areas have successfully entered the international rankings.

One of these fields of study is UI Geography. This study program under the auspices of FMIPA UI is listed in the Natural Sciences group ranking at 151-200.

UI Chancellor Prof. Ari Kuncoro, SE, MA, Ph.D said, "UI has the advantage of organizing educational programs in various scientific fields that are not limited by the boundaries of scientific fields.

Collaboration of various scientific disciplines available at the UI Campus is expected to produce scientific development, breakthrough inventions, and various creative innovations that are beneficial for the people and the Indonesian nation.

There are 12 fields of study at UI that have successfully entered the world rankings – but as a single university, UI believes that every study program that is held is superior and has the best quality in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

Every study program held by UI, whether vocational, undergraduate, or postgraduate, is able to produce graduates who are globally competitive.”

Head of the FMIPA UI Department, Dr. Supriatna, M.T. assessed that the achievement was the result of hard work and support from many parties, especially the teaching staff and students.

Geography FMIPA UI, continued Supriatna, has implemented many programs that are the quality standards used by QS WUR 2020, namely the reputation of Human Resources (HR), H-Index Citation (a benchmark for lecturers or researchers in developing science), quality of academic work, and academic reputation.
