August 23, 2022

Saturday, August 20, 2022, was the last day of the Introduction to the Academic System of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (PSAF MIPA UI), in order to welcome new undergraduate students of FMIPA UI for the 2022/2023 Academic Year.

The peak of the event, which was an important moment for all new students, was even more lively with the presence of all new students in person at the FMIPA UI Campus, Depok. They gathered in the plaza area of the main lecture building of FMIPA UI since morning.

That day, the main lecture building that stood majestically with the iconic makara garden again witnessed the momentum that marked the first steps of their struggle on the blue and black campus. This moment of togetherness finally returned after the last 2 years of PSAF MIPA UI activities being carried out online due to physical distancing regulations as an impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This event was enlivened by Creative Dynamics, namely a short discussion between mentors and new FMIPA UI 2022 students who were divided into several small groups, the aim was to review the material during the PSAF series of events.

There was also the Permas Teatrikal filled by the Student Movement division which presented an oration with the theme "I am Proud to be a UI FMIPA Student" to spur the enthusiasm of new students in giving their best contribution.

Another activity is the Institutional Display, this session contains promotions from each semi-autonomous institution at the FMIPA UI level. The event is even more fun with exciting games post to post to all departments in FMIPA UI, complete with various challenges in it. The purpose of this game is for new students to get to know the FMIPA UI environment directly.

To close the entire series of activities, PSAF MIPA UI held a New Student Art Performance as its peak. This art performance featured the work of new students from each department, starting from song performances by music groups from the Geography Department, Geology & Geophysics Department, and Mathematics Department, then modern dance from the Chemistry Department, theatrical music by the Physics Department, to theater performances by new student groups from the Biology Department.
