On Thursday (30/8), at the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building of FMIPA UI – Pertamina, University of Indonesia Depok Campus, FMIPA UI graduated a total of 477 students from the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs during the Inauguration and Thanksgiving Ceremony for Graduates of the Even Semester of the 2017/2018 Academic Year. Of these, 94 graduates earned the distinction of cum laude.
At this event, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI graduated with 375 undergraduate graduates, 100 master's graduates, and 2 doctoral graduates.
In the undergraduate program, 52 graduates earned cum laude honors, with the highest GPA of 3.96, achieved by Jason Kristiano from the Physics study program. Meanwhile, in the master's program, 41 graduates earned cum laude honors, with the highest GPA of 4.00, achieved by Samson Clymton from the Master of Physics study program. The highest GPA (3.97) in the doctoral program was achieved by Destario Metusala.
With these achievements, Jason Kristiano, Samson Clymton, and Destario Metusala were among the top graduates of FMIPA UI, along with 16 others.
Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris, Dean, led the ceremony. In his remarks, he congratulated all graduates, especially those with cum laude honors and the best graduates.
He advised the FMIPA UI graduates to continue innovating and developing themselves wherever they are, using the knowledge they have acquired.
He believes this is crucial, as the increasing number of FMIPA UI graduates should increase their contributions to solving various national problems and advancing the nation and state.
And just as importantly, Haris continued, alumni must continue to foster relationships and uphold the good name of their alma mater.
