On Wednesday, August 2, 2017, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) held a Capacity Building activity on Belitung Island. The event lasted for three days. This activity was carried out to strengthen the ability of individuals and organizations to adapt to existing environmental changes, as well as to realize the cohesiveness and skills of each individual in solving problems.
In his remarks, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, said that this activity was necessary to build synergy among all members of the FMIPA UI community, including teaching staff and employees, so that they could build better cooperation within the university. team and foster a strong sense of solidarity. Abdul Haris also conveyed several advances and achievements of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, including the addition of study programs at the Faculty, namely the actuarial study program which will be under the auspices of the mathematics department, an increase in the number of professors, and improvements and enhancements to facilities at the Faculty. Abdul Haris hopes that with this Capacity Building activity, the entire Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences community can create an academic climate full of discipline.
