Diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Italy are celebrating 70 years this year. To commemorate this diplomatic relationship, today (January 31st), the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI), held a seminar featuring Prof. Mario Giordano (Professor of the Department of Life Sciences and Environment, Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy) as a speaker.
Professor Mario Giordano, accompanied by a representative from the Italian Embassy, Mr. Vitarsa Erlip, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Techn. Djoko Triyono, Vice Dean I, Dr. Rita Dian Takarina, M.Sc., Head of International and Public Relations and moderator, and 70 participants, including department heads, study program heads, and students from the Faculty.
Djoko Triyono highly appreciated the diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Italy, particularly in the field of education. He stated that the relationship between the two countries must always be well maintained so that in the future, Indonesia and Italy can enhance cooperation in education, including student mobility and research collaboration.
In the seminar, held in Meeting Room A of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Dean's Building, University of Indonesia (UI), Prof. Mario Giordano delivered presentations entitled "Long-term Changes in Ocean Chemistry (especially in S Concentration) May Have Contributed to Phytoplankton Radiation") and "Environmental Perturbation and Cell Composition").
