The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) held the 2025 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres), on Tuesday (25/2/2025) at the Prof. Dr. G.A. Siwabessy Hall, UI Campus, Depok.
This activity aims to select the best students from various departments and study programs at FMIPA UI.
A total of 32 students from the Department of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography, as well as the Geology and Geophysics Study Program participated in this event. They consisted of 9 participants of the Main Pilmapres and 23 participants of the Category Pilmapres, which were divided into the fields of Sports, Arts and Culture, Social and Environment, and Entrepreneurship.
Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., emphasized that Pilmapres is not just a competition, but also a forum to appreciate student achievements in various fields.
"I really appreciate the diversity of achievements displayed in this year's Pilmapres. Not only in the academic field, but also in the categories of Sports, Arts and Culture, Social and Environment, and Entrepreneurship," said Prof. Dede.
He also hopes that FMIPA UI students can maintain the title of Main Achievement Student at the UI level, and even increase it to the national level.
The Chairperson of the 2025 Pilmapres Executive Committee, Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas, S.Si., M.Si., revealed that the number of participants this year increased compared to the previous year.
"This year the number of participants is greater, with 9 students participating in the Main Pilmapres and 23 students in the Category Pilmapres," he explained.
The Main Pilmapres Selection consists of three assessment components: Outstanding Achievements and CV, Creative Ideas, and English Language Ability. Meanwhile, the Category Pilmapres assesses participants based on Outstanding Achievements, CV, and Creative Ideas presentation in Indonesian.
One of the differences in this year's Pilmapres is the English Language Ability assessment method, where participants must present ideas related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within five minutes, followed by a question and answer session.
After going through a series of strict selections, the following students succeeded in winning the title of Outstanding Students of FMIPA UI 2025:

3rd Place: Nisrina Nur Azizah (Biology 2022)
Outstanding Students Category:
Entrepreneurship Category: Muhammad Vieryco Ramadhan Al Said (Geography 2022)
Sports Category: Nyoman Budhayoni Adiandari (Biology 2023)
Arts and Culture Category: Rachelle Melody d’Lyra Soentara (Statistics 2022)
Social and Environmental Category: Azzikri (Geography 2022)
The award certificates to all participants were given directly by the Chairperson of the 2025 FMIPA UI Pilmapres Committee after the announcement of the winners. The event was also attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Budiawan; Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si .; as well as the Heads of Departments and Heads of Study Programs within FMIPA UI.
