The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) once again served as one of the venues for the Computer-Based Written Examination – National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT) 2025 at the University of Indonesia, Depok. The exam took place from April 23 to 30 and May 2 to 4, 2025.
The UTBK implementation within FMIPA UI was divided into two sessions each day and spread across two locations: the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building and the Geography Department Building. To ensure the smooth running of the exam, FMIPA UI prepared 131 main computers and 14 backup units as a precaution against technical issues.
"We are fully committed to supporting the implementation of UTBK-SNBT optimally. Preparations have been carried out comprehensively since one month before, involving our information technology team, server administration, Location Person in Charge, and Deputy Location Person in Charge. We want to ensure that all participants can take the exam comfortably and smoothly," said Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., Dean of FMIPA UI.
Intensive technical preparations have been carried out by the FMIPA UI team, including site surveys, equipment maintenance, computer specification adjustments, installation of supporting applications, as well as both national and internal system trials. Additionally, technical and operational support teams have been established to assist during the exam on-site.
To support participant comfort, FMIPA UI also provided a special transit room for examinees before entering the exam rooms. This transit room utilized air-conditioned classrooms with good lighting and also served as a secure temporary storage area for participants' belongings.
The first day of UTBK at FMIPA UI proceeded in an orderly and conducive manner. The high enthusiasm of participants was evident from their presence, as they had already filled the area since 5:00 AM WIB, well before the exam sessions began.

Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK) is a state university entrance selection system implemented digitally by the Education Testing Management Center (BPPP) under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdiktisaintek RI). UTBK is the basis for selection for the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) pathway, which replaces the term SBMPTN in the process of accepting new students at state universities throughout Indonesia.
