Monday, (2\/10) at The Margo Hotel Depok, FMIPA UI together with the National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) and the International Atomic Energy Agency held a Final Project Review Meeting on Strengthening the Effectiveness and Extensibility of Medical Physics Education and Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Present at this event were Eko Madi Parmanto (Head of the Legal, Public Relations and Cooperation Bureau of BATAN), Brendan Healy (IAEA Technical Officer). From the FMIPA UI, there were Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris (Dean), Dr. Tito Latif Indra (Cooperation Manager), Dr. Supriyanto Ardjo Pawiro (General Manager and Chairman of AFMI), Prof. Dr. Djarwani S. Soejoko (Department of Physics), and participants from 18 countries that are members of the IAEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, Abdul Haris, Dean of FMIPA UI, expressed his gratitude to BATAN and the IAEA for their continued support of FMIPA UI in the fields of medical physics and biophysics. Haris further stated that this activity is part of FMIPA UI's internationalization program, in the context of FMIPA UI's efforts to expand and increase the number of partnerships both at the national and international levels. This is to realize a strategic program in strengthening the capacity of medical physics and biophysics, where medical physics is a concentration for FMIPA UI not only in the study program but also in the interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting, which lasted for 5 days, aimed to:
\u2022 To update participants on progress in the regional project RAS6077,
\u2022 To update participants on the latest developments in the AMPLE (Advance Medical Physics Learning Environment),
\u2022 To assess the AMPLE pilot and ongoing clinical training,
\u2022 To update participants regarding the \u201cEditorial Board of AMPLE\u201d
\u2022 To review accreditation and certification guidelines in medical physics,
\u2022 Review the new RCA (Regional Cooperative Agreement) medical physics project design work plan RAS2016025
