Five lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), have achieved international recognition by being included in the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2025 list released by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier BV on September 19, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This list is an annual ranking that features the names of the world\u2019s most influential scientists based on standardized citation indicators. The assessment includes several metrics such as the number of citations, h-index, and c-score, as well as collaborative contributions and citation impact throughout their careers and within the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The five lecturers and researchers are Prof. Ivandini T. Anggraningrum, Ph.D. (Department of Chemistry), who is listed in The Career-long Category or Top 2% Scientists throughout their career; Prof. Dr. Yoki Yulizar, M.Sc. (Department of Chemistry); Munawar Khalil, S.Si., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D. (Department of Chemistry); Dewangga Oky Bagus Apriandanu, Ph.D. (Department of Chemistry); and Dr. Dipo Aldila, S.Si., M.Si. (Department of Mathematics), who are included in The Single-year Impact Category, or Top 2% Scientists with the highest citation impact in the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation and pride for the contributions of FMIPA UI lecturers at the global level. According to him, the achievement of five FMIPA UI lecturers being included in the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2025 list is a recognition of the quality of their research and their continuous academic commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the result of hard work, collaboration, and a continuous spirit of innovation that we strive to foster. The \u201cTop 2% Scientists Worldwide 2025\u201d list is part of a publication titled \u201cUpdated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators\u201d, compiled by Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University. This year marks the eighth edition since it was first released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Globally, there are more than 100,000 scientists from various disciplines included in the ranking, divided into 22 fields of science and 174 subfields according to the Science-Metrix standard classification. From Indonesia alone, 209 researchers are listed in the ranking<\/p>\n\n\n\n
