The Winter School program is an initiative aimed at strengthening the partnership between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, and the Faculty of Science, Leiden University, Netherlands. Through collaborative programs in the form of teaching and research that emphasize three main areas, including biological conservation and sustainability, it is hoped that the exchange of ideas and expertise between the two universities will be mutually beneficial.

Typically, selected participants will visit Leiden University in the same year to undertake a follow-up program. Similar to the program in Indonesia, in the Netherlands, participants will also undertake a short course, completing research, projects, and assignments.
