The world ranking agency EduRank named the Mathematics and Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) as the best department in Indonesia.
In addition to being named the best department in Indonesia, the Mathematics Department of FMIPA UI is also recorded as being ranked 210th in Asia and 835th in the world. Meanwhile, the Chemistry Department of FMIPA UI is recorded as being ranked 418th in Asia and 1143rd in the world.
EduRank uses database Microsoft Academic uses a proxy to capture scholarly publications and citations and then graphs them to calculate the weight of each publication. This independent, metrics-based ranking agency uses the same approach as Google and other modern search engines to calculate the reputation of individual websites and the number of backlinks to universities from other sites.
