Today, Thursday (8/24/2017) FMIPA UI graduated 494 students consisting of 240 regular S1 program, 128 parallel S1 program, 120 master program (S2), and 6 doctoral program (S3). They were inaugurated by Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris as Dean of FMIPA UI in the Inauguration and Thanksgiving of FMIPA UI Graduates Semester ATA 2016/2017, which was held at Building B 101 FMIPA UI, Depok.
This event was attended by, Chairman of the Board of Professors of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dr. Terry Mart. Along with members, Chairman of the Academic Senate of FMIPA UI Prof. Dr. Wibowo Mangunwardoyo, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, Managers in the FMIPA UI Environment and the Coordinator of UPMA FMIPA UI.
In his speech, Abdul Haris congratulated the graduates of FMIPA UI, for successfully completing their education at FMIPA UI and starting a new struggle to become scientists who can play a role at the global level. Abdul Haris hopes that FMIPA UI graduates can become scientists who are able to provide solutions to the challenges and problems of the nation in the midst of globalization.
He added that the development of science and technology has a big role in world progress so that experts are needed who can conduct research to answer challenges in the future.
Also present at this event were the chairman of ILUNI FMIPA UI, Dra. Etty Purnawaty, M.Sc., and alumni of the biology department of FMIPA UI, Dr. Taufik Wisnu Priambodo who is also the Director of Innovation & Business Incubator UI.
